Permanent Retaining Walls

Appleton Piling Ltd has vast experience in the design and construction of Permanent Retaining Walls from a small 10 linear metre run to a complex slope stabilisation with sheet piles at many levels through an existing embankment.

We encourage working in partnership with our clients to ensure that the initial requirement is understood, designed accordingly and ultimately completed onsite to give the most economic engineering solution.

The sheet piles are designed to retain the temporary excavation levels and then to act as the permanent retaining structure usually with a base slab propping the sheet piles.

The designs are carried out to current Euro Design Codes and the relevant industry standards.

On completion of the excavation works the sheet piles can be coated with a conventional paint system or faced with brick or stonework.
